The five member Utility Commission advises the City Council and staff in all matters pertaining to Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) and other utility services such as water, sewer, gas, and the investor-owned electric utility serving parts of the city. The Utility Commission also reviews and advises the City Council on the budget for the Moreno Valley Utility and makes recommendations on all Moreno MVU capital improvements and rates, and responding to requests and concerns of the public relating to utility issues.
Notice on Public Participation
Members of the public who wish to submit written comments to the Utilities Commission may do so by emailing UC@moval.org. Moreno Valley Utility Staff will forward all correspondence to the Utility Commission and provide hard copies to each Commissioner at the next regularly scheduled meeting. Any correspondence received after 5 p.m. on the same day of a Utility Commission meeting may be distributed at the subsequent meeting.
